About the Artist

Paul Everett has been an artist on and off for over 50 years, in between running his own print and design business for 40 of those.

Born on a council estate in Bradford in the mid fifties, his early paintings were done for neighbours and family from when he was about 16 years old. He excelled at school in art due to some encouragement from a good art teacher at upper school. In the days before the internet early projects were copies of country scenes from table mats and art books of tigers and pumas all in oil.

Then family came along, a career in print and design led to setting up his own busines at the age of 28. Odd paintings when he found time and a bit of experimenting with the speed of watercolours and a few sales over the coming years.

The last 10 years have seen the most activity, the ease of pencil drawings, to just be able to pick them up do a couple of hours and come back to them. Then the pandemic gave us all more time and onto Acrylics which make up the paintings in this collection. Most of the work is a nostalgic look back at childhood memories with stories to go with a lot of the work.
Recent semi retirement has seen the production of pieces speed up and the bird collection done in coloured oil pencils have all been done in early 2023.

The print and design business is still going which he now runs with his son from a shop in the suburbs of Bradford, allowing some of his work to be displayed and sold from the shop. The aim of the website is to display all of his work to a much wider audience.
